Marc , milou and I were up at the crack of dawn

around the lac, there is still very little insight on what is 

about to be born

but next weekend is the main event

then we will realise the real intent

Their is a frenzy of activity around our lake

rumours for the last few years, of tests on the water

but how long will this all take

will we be able to sail, paddle or swim

it would be lovely just to go off to the water, on a very mere whim

you can hear the industrial whirring of heavy machines 

cutting down the wheat

round the fields they toil, ever decreasing circles 

line upon lines ever so neat

tomorrow they are transformed to picturesque cylindrical bales

put to storage for feed and bedding when winter finally prevails

This week Milou has many dates

which is nice for both of us, and today she cannot wait

she races around the car park glad to meet her friend 

and together in and out of the tall grass they frolic and bend

running along the water's edge, paws in water i do not usually do

Today is bastille day, a national holiday, everyone is off

the weather is cloudy but actually humid and hot

we are off to see fireworks tonight, let off in the square 

sound like fun we, the village will all be there

Milou , Marc and i went to the vide at bagneres and beyond

we took Milou into the mountains

she loved it and was full of delightful leaps and much response

 her buddies back at the house were still waiting for us
