The banks are a full of wild flowers, most of them i know
the trees and shrubs full of blossom the leaves starting to show
the surrounding fields are a vivid yellow, rape grown for the oil
others full of vegetation, churned up, returned to fertilise the soil

Friday, 4 April 2014

It was grey and drizzly
and all a bit grim and grizzly
Milou and Taj had their usual plan
while i weathered the weather alongside Jan

Thursday, 3 April 2014

It is grey and drizzling with rain
we left it quite late for our walk again
we were soaking wet, Milou without a care
its only April we should not despair

Wednesday, 2 April 2014

Milou met Daisy for a nice long run today
unfortunately Milou was all to boisterous with her play
i eventually contained her on the lead
after a third of the walk she was eventually freed
she played nicely for the rest of the walk
allowing myself, Linda and Terry to talk

Tuesday, 1 April 2014

The fish are again leaping out of the lac
landing back on the water with a resounding smack
swallows and martins above catch the flies on the wing
and the cuckoo's call, a constant reminder that it is now Spring

Monday, 31 March 2014

Today my hike was more of a draw
i went to the top of the hill to sketch what i saw
the weather to the contrary was warm and dry
while i drew, Milou busied herself barking at people passing by

Sunday, 30 March 2014

There is more rain to come our way
the blue hues have been replaced by a uniform grey
the mountains are barely in view, the peaks cannot be seen
apart from twittering hedges all is still and very serene
