Hike-ku's
poetic meanderings with milou
Saturday, 8 March 2014
The wild cherries are now in flower
pretty in pink on every bower
Milou and i walk under beautiful skies again
the mud is even drying up amidst our terrain
Friday, 7 March 2014
The sky is a beautiful cobalt blue
and a bright sun blessed our journey too
followed by a fantastic lunch with friends
beautiful sunshine, fun, i hope it never ends
Thursday, 6 March 2014
We walk on a road, strewn with the shadows of trees
the sun is warm with very little breeze
a lone heron stands guard beside the lac
a sentry, whilst we return on the sodden track
Wednesday, 5 March 2014
Wet this morning, so the afternoon was our ploy
the weather cheered up, also
sunny to our joy
Milou was covered in mud
despite fresh water and streams in flood
all of us came back muddy and brown
but this time in the rain we did not drown
Tuesday, 4 March 2014
There are grey skies hanging over our town
yesterdays storm is strewn all over the ground
a battered umbrella hangs from the hedge
Milou barks furiously, before pursuing ducks on the waters edge
Monday, 3 March 2014
We have wicked winds and some hail
hundred mile gusts, beyond the pail
Milou and i braved it around about four
she is always up for it, if we both leave the door
Sunday, 2 March 2014
I suppose it is very exciting in a dogs day
to meet on route a new friend to play
few clouds have studded a bright blue sky
it is warm and sunny....but still not dry
