Milou was told of her brand new date
he was as handsome as her, so she was in quite a state
they look like twins, hard to tell them apart
barking and bounding with much energy and heart
Yago and Milou will see each other again
in the next few weeks, on different terrain

We set off eagerly with Jan and Taj round the lake
Milou, still limping, put her best paws forwards for all our sakes
they scampered about, her on all three
she seems exhausted, but happy to just be

Thursday, 24 April 2014

We were late after lunch, through the cemetery, across the fields
the grass is high, the track is now totally concealed
Milou tunnels her way across and through
leaving me to cope with the grass with a strange type of kung fu

Wednesday, 23 April 2014

We walk a shady path veiled on both banks with a fine lacy white
a buzzard takes off, on a silent, barely motionless flight
everything looks young rejuvenated and green
a palette of colours for floor and or screen

Tuesday, 22 April 2014

In Castelnau, we went up to the memorial and over the top
next to hefty wooden cross beneath a
shady old oak, did we stop
both of us sat, admiring acres of green and a most perfect view
listening to natures hymns from our very own pew

Monday, 21 April 2014

We had no major grand Easter plan
other than a vide, just beyond Galan
the weekend follows our everyday dream
ending in truffles infused with honey, rosemary and cream

Sunday, 20 April 2014

Milou is still limping, so we do one of our shorter routes or ways
just as well as it is drizzling and the sky is full of greys
I do not like to see her like this, my boisterous woofy friend
she is not in any pain, but i would love to see her on the mend
