We see our mystery bird once again
it is a black necked grebe, and i know about it now...
but not then
a huge amount of butterflies today around the lac
most i know, but some i will need to look up when we get back

Friday, 9 May 2014

It's Friday again, and again i am not sure where the week has gone
first thing it is a bit gloomy for Taj and Milou's run
Jan and i are happy to talk about our week
while Taj and Milou are in and out of the now very tall grass
playing hide and seek

Thursday, 8 May 2014

There is another mystery bird on our lac
again, i will have to identify when i get back
we go the long way round, up through and above a canopy of trees
the sun is warm on our backs, today there is barely a breeze

Wednesday, 7 May 2014

We heard the sound of studded feet behind us on the road
some rugby players from the pitch all in ascending node
the teams were playing a late night drill
in a few weeks time they will need, again, to show their skills

Tuesday, 6 May 2014

We see the mountains through a veiled haze or mist
vague contours where the snow is absent, tell us they still exist
it is late for our first walk, the early eve of a beautiful warm day
about blooming time, i hear Milou say!

Monday, 5 May 2014

Nature looks out of her very own windows, they have no glass
created by the curve of a branch, flowers and field or grass
this window looks out to the lac, which looks mysterious and blue
with peachy pink dog rose now eminent in the hedges, a truly wonderful view

Sunday, 4 May 2014

It is good to feel again, the warmth upon my face
we are wrapped once again, in the sun's gentle embrace
the meadows look like a pointillist painting or picture
green dotted with mostly yellow, pink, all wildflowers quite a mixture
