The black collie greeted us in the car park again

the forecast though warm is wet and with much rain

in several places, you need serious wellies

Milou is not bothered and comes home both filthy and smelly

Taj was excited at meeting his new friend

we have done the circuit now at least three times end to end

Jan and i chat, the whole way round

for Milou and I,  and through are walk, the four of us are bound

There is a rainbow today, as is gently spits with a little rain

here  i am with Milou and Marc again

the hedgerow is leafless and thoroughly stark

but the red rose  and the cornus a contrast through hips and bark

It is beautiful and warm for the first day of the new year

the lake is placid and the stretch of the mountains crystal clear

the hedgerow and trees are all but bare

some clematis lies hanging in strings here and there

The fields are but barren, a stubble of sunflowers and corn

next year it will be sown again and all will be reborn

 like the next years field, we are just sowing our seeds

i think this coming year will be a brilliant crop....and hopefully a very good read!!!

Today was not the right day for our pets 

having packed them up ...we are not due until tomorrow at the vets

the language that on an everyday basis i try 

sometimes leaves me frustrated, to which point i just want to cry

The sun is trying hard, but it is still windy and very chill

we completely avoid the shady side of the lac way up on the hill

a kestrel glides silently, his vantage point upon a telegraph pole

perhaps he might find a beetle, mouse, shrew or vole
