The cuckoo is calling, for the first time this year

as always i have never seen him, tho I know that he is near

the banks are now covered in cowslip, violet and vetch 

all very pretty and surely worth a springtime sketch?

Milou has been under the weather this week

however, she still charged around with Taj at her peek

this morning seemed no different and they had a good run

a beautiful morning and for all four, always good fun

Marc, milou and i were practising our vocab round the lac 

we did  a whole hour of games then totally lost track

Milou was invited to Thermes for tea

to meet Daisy sa nouvelle petite amie

they had a lively afternoon, with a walk around their lake

for us, preceded by tea and delicious homemade cake

In great contrast to yesterday

it is chilly, overcast and grey

my mystery diver has found a mate

time will tell, as nature does not wait

It was warm bright and sunny, spring is in the air. 

even the birds on the lac are also in a pair

two grebes are chattering together in a ritual stance

this is part of a highly choreographed, beautiful courtship dance

It was going to be a solo walk, or so Milou feared

until round the first bend Pom Pom then appeared

they greeted each other with tails a wag

then romped around the lac until one or other did flag
