Round the lac this hazy afternoon

not a mountain scene

however this cannot be the the case 

as this is where we have been

their majestic magic hidden from view

unless you were in them

 would be hard to believe it true

Today Milou and i are out of sorts

leaving me to the lac and my deepest thoughts

everyday is a brand new test

met by Milou with vigour and zest

she has pushed the boundaries and i wonder why

but then again tomorrow i will give her another try

It's a bright day today but with a chill

the leaves on the trees are turning

yellow red and gold

leaving a long hot summer

and autumn to unfold

As the birds took to the lake 

leaving mountain peaks forming in their wake

the last of the days sun permeated the clouds

leaving a glistening shroud 

on the water

It is the time of year 
when barely visible threads

hang like silken washing lines

across the paths we tread
